Other Security Measures

External Keyboxes

External key holding boxes are becoming an increasingly common method of having keys securely held outside a door. They can be for use in an emergency by social services or family, if you have difficulty getting up to answer your door or even outside a holiday letting property. They also mean that regular visitors can access your home without the need for each to have a set of keys this decreases the likelihood of them losing your keys and makes it more convenient for them to. Various different manufacturers have their own designs but the model we have chosen to supply and fit is manufactured by Supra.

The Supra Permanent Key Safe can store 4-5 Yale-type keys or 1-2 Chubb-type keys, comes with a black neoprene cover to protect it from the weather and is maintenance free.
Does fitting a keysafe compromise your home security? Many burglaries are carried out by thieves who prefer to shoulder a door or break a window. To remove a keysafe from the wall would require a hammer and chisel most opportunist thieves will not carry these tools as having them can be an offence, then they have the time consuming task of trying to open the box that may contain a key. If fitted covertly know one except those who need to, may even realise you have a keysafe.
